The ESRC has released its PhD studentship competition for
students beginning in 2014. ESRC studentship funding is now distributed through
Doctoral Training Centres (DTC) and the relevant DTC for us is the ScottishGraduate Centre for Social Science. For those interested in pursuing a PhD in our
areas, please see our website including our staff list and publications. You
should make contact with a potential faculty supervisor very soon if you are
thinking of applying. We could potentially supervise students on the Economics
and Business/Management pathways. We could also potentially supervise students
applying to the Advanced Quantitative Methods pathway. Associated faculty
members should also look at the Collaborative Studentship awards for potential
routes to funding a PhD studentship in collaboration with a non-academic group in your area.
