The Scottish Graduate School of Social Science is delighted to announce the Collaborative Competition for 2016. ‘Collaborative’ is defined broadly and covers collaboration with private sector companies, public sector bodies or third sector organisations. The SGSSS Board has allocated up to 9 awards to this competition for 2016.
Proposals from academics across the SGSSS accredited pathways are welcome. Lead supervisors must be employed at an institution that has that pathway recognised in the SGSSS but second supervisors may be social scientists employed at any of the 16 institutions in Scotland. Funding is provided by the DTC to the lead institution and then secondary funding arrangements/reimbursement would need to be made by that institution if there was a joint supervision arrangement with another institution (this is taking place currently with a 70/30 split of fees). Please contact us if you would like to discuss the details of joint supervision further.
Time Frame
Deadline for applications – Monday 25th January 2016.
Decisions communicated to applicants – Week of 22nd February 2016.
We hope to inform applicants on Monday 22nd February but given the tight turnaround for reviewers, decisions might be sent out later in that week.
