Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Economics of Migration
Full Time, 2 year fixed term
Salary range: starting at £30,728 and rising to £36,661 per annum
Expected start date 1 September 2014 or soon after
This position is suitable for an ambitious researcher to work on the economics of migration. The post will be located within the Department of Economics and will be associated with the DFID-funded Migrating Out of Poverty Research Consortium; you will work closely with and report to Professor L Alan Winters, Professor of Economics and CEO of the Research Consortium. You will be free to pursue research on any aspect of the economics of migration, subject only to its being likely to produce excellent published outputs. The Research Consortium focusses explicitly on migration within and between developing countries and you will also be expected to contribute to this agenda. The Department of Economics may offer opportunities for some teaching for candidates who would like to pursue them.You will hold, or be very close to obtaining, a PhD in Economics or very closely related discipline and will already have experience of migration as a research topic.
