Adam Curtis - Prisoners Dilemma

Ken McKenzie first introduced me to the documentaries of Adam Curtis. In particular, Ken made heavy use of Curtis's classic Century of the Self in his political psychology courses in Trinity. Below is a classic clip from the "F**k You Buddy" episode of another classic programme of Curtis called "The Trap". The clip gives an illustration of the Prisoners' Dilemma and its place at the heart of understanding social interactions in the Cold War era. Many of Curtis' documentaries deal with conceptualisations of human rationality and behaviour throughout the last 100 years and how these conceptualises drove political designs.
