One foot in the 21st Century

John McHale rightly pulls up the Sunday Independent for its editorial getting into pretty ugly territory regarding the motivations behind the negotiation of the Irish bail-out loan. It would be a real pity if this period was used as a prelude to a period of vulgar sentiment based on national prejudices in Europe. The 21st century is going to be interesting enough without regressing back to nonsense like that.
