sorry - was thinking of Irish students. We have placement schemes during college but why not something like this just after graduation in years where the labour market is sunk. I understand the potential arguments against but some combination of the Department of Social and Family Affairs, IBEC and the students themselves should be able to work out a solution that doesnt leave 30,000 recent graduates claiming dole checks and damaging their long-term employment prospects and potentially their mental health.
