The conference is intended to provide a forum for new economists (in post-graduate research programs or private/public sectors) to present papers from any area of economics. We strongly encourage those working on economics-based research in all settings to present. Any interested parties that do not have a paper to present, but would like to attend the conference, are also very welcome at the event.
More details are available on the conference website here.

The keynote address at this year's conference will be given by Robert Wright, Professor of Economics at the University of StrathClyde, Scotland. He is a member of the British Household Panel Scientific Steering Committee, the National Population Projections Expert Advisory Panel, Office of National Statistics and the Mortality Research Working Group, Board for Actuarial Standards. Previously he was Executive Director of the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics. Professor Wright's keynote address will be on:
"Demographic Change and Macroeconomic Performance"
I will be boycotting this event until such time as there is an Irish Society for Middle-Aged Economists. No jokes about the IEA, please.
You beat us to the punchline!
On a serious note, we welcome all interseted parties at the event. There are no conference fees to either attend or present at the conference. And we encourage those working on economics-based research in all settings to attend.
