Defying the Laws of Physics

An Irish company will today reveal controversial technology that allegedly defies basic laws of physics to produce free power.

Steorn, which is based in Dublin, claims to have discovered a method of creating clean, constant energy, which it claims could end the global fuel crisis.

Called Orbo technology, it is based on the interaction of magnetic fields and has yet to be conclusively proven.

Last year, Steorn placed an advertisement in the Economist magazine and challenged the world's scientists to test its claims.

I thought this was an elaborate joke when it first came out. They were developing systems to protect valuable information and so it would make sense if they declared to the world that they had the most valuable information imaginable so that if no one managed to hack them or break in or whatever that they were very competent in what they were doing.

Either this or they were a marketing firm that were riding on the back of previous hoaxes about perpetual motion or infinite energy sources (also regularly involving magnets). Are these a pack of chancers or do they actually believe what they are saying, even more outlandish- could it be true!!?

P.s. I doubt it, has anyone seen their website!? How can anything this elaborate manage to say absolutely nothing!

Its hard to know if these guys are a pack of chancers. What they promise seems to good to be true. I'm going to do a bit of research on them before the weekend. If I like what I see, I'll looking to get my inheritance early!
