A Message From Thierry

Hello, Irish Behavioural Economics Blog. I am doubtful that your PhD students will finish their theses on time and I laugh at their prospects of publishing in good journals. Ha ha ha!

But at least we will hold our heads high. Once an Arsenal player always an Arsenal player.

99.99 per cent of what I heard in Dublin today including the reactions reported by the BBC stuck within the bounds of relatively good natured footballing banter or fairly hopeful attempts to get a replay. I really do hope no-one is getting actually abusive.

My favourite quote is from the BBC article above.

One caller pointed out that Henry actually handled the ball twice before France's winning goal.
"Even in volleyball, that's a foul," said the frustrated football fan.

By all accounts, Henry is actually a nice guy & clearly a great player so hard to hate.
