The Impending Demise of the University

Very interesting article but not sure if it warrants the title. I think increasingly students will want to work with all sorts of different ways of getting material in the course of a module. I also agree that a model where students get to learn from many different types of people other than academics is a good one. Resources such as MIT Online, for now, is helping if anything to strengthen the position of many other institutions. Its possible that a change in structure will make technology a threat to universities role as the main providers of post-school formal education but for now it feels like its strengthening that role if anything.
